The Woodman’s Treehouse
Cross a rope bridge to this award-winning treetop chalet, where sustainable craftsmanship meets luxury. A circular room with rotating wood burner sits at its heart, with king bed, roll-top bath, kitchen, and en suite loo. Outside, enjoy a sauna, hot tub, tree shower, hammock, pizza oven, barbecue, and woodland slide. Opened in 2016, it was designed by Guy Mallinson & Keith Brownlie, built by master craftsmen, and featured on Amazing Spaces and Grand Designs House of the Year.
Dazzle Treehouse
This ship-themed treehouse features gangplank walkways, yacht deck floors, rooftop funnels, and a prow-shaped deck framed by a slender alder tree. A central glass spine draws light through the cabin, while a kitchen opens onto a rear deck with hot tub and cargo net daybed above a stream. Inside, a wood-burning stove warms the sitting room and bedroom, with an ensuite shower and flushing loo. Designed by Guy Mallinson & Keith Brownlie and crafted in 2020, it’s a luxury woodland hideaway.
Pinwheel Treehouse
Nestled in the treetops, this unique treehouse features a central glass-topped living space beneath the canopy, with rooms radiating outward in a pinwheel-inspired design. Full-height one-way glass windows offer panoramic views and total privacy. Inside, find an en suite loo, shower, and dressing room; outside, enjoy a deck with hot tub, fire pit, swing, pizza oven, and barbecue. Designed by Guy Mallinson & Keith Brownlie and crafted in 2020, it blends artistry, seclusion, and woodland harmony.
Amy Johnson
Local girl Amy was a heroic pilot who was lost on a dangerous wartime mission. This feisty lady was renowned for her glamour and daring do but was also the first woman to qualify as a ground engineer. This suite exudes her unique personal style of “rough glamour”.
